Today we left Nuremberg and headed to Munich, where will meet up with the rest of the passengers on the Danube river cruise. Our experience with the German train system ran much more smoothly that our trip last week. Not to say it was without problems. We were told that train would leave on platform 6 and the departure board on the platform indicated that trains were going to other locations. Luckily for us, we were there early and were able to find the correct platform in plenty of time.
The Nuremberg train station is a haven for street people and thieves. The police are always busy escorting people out of the building to the police station across the street. While we were in a cafe in the station, we were approached by a women who sat down at our table and just stared at us. Marg saw her male handler direct her to another table where there was a passed out lady slumped over the table. This stupid thief ran out of the cafe empty handed just when the police arrived.
The ICE train is a high-speed transit train. We got to Munich from Nuremberg in about 90 minutes. The display panel near our seat indicated speeds in excess of 200Km/H. Here is a view from the train.
The weather has been what you might expect if it was November, not early October. Temperatures have been in the low teens and in the single digits during the night. It has been windy and damp. When we have a chance, we may be doing a bit of shopping for a sweater.
If know that in Europe, the sex trade is highly regulated, but in the Nuremberg train station they take it to a much higher level.
